my first day of work was friday. i had a GREAT time and despite the commute, i'm going to love it, i'm sure. monday starts my motorcycle commutes, however, as i was really coveting the carpool lane both going and coming on friday.

christopher had his dirtbike class today. he was originally registered for last year, but he was too little and got sent home. quite a blow to the ego, even though it was nothing he did wrong except not be able to reach the ground. . .i can relate. ;-)

not so this time.

he did have an issue with shifting, but he's a tiny guy with not much strength. he does have the heart of a lion though, so i'm sure with a couple day's practice he'll be there. he did do the hill traverse perfectly every time. the other kid in the class was going to take a pass until he saw chris do it. and then it was freetime. we let him go until he crashed twice. that's the rule, the first one is practice, the second it's time to go home, because it means he's tired and needs to rest.

tomorrow we'll help w get ready for his baja trip, do laundry and get ready for my first full week of work. woohoo!!!
