wow, where have i been?
there has actually been a lot happening in my life. i've been totally busy with picking out an investment house, planning, planning, planning the renovations. i will have the entire thing done in my head before the offer is actually accepted.
it's a short sale. from what i understand, that's when the house is worth less than what is owed. we're all in a short sale unless you own your home outright like we do. the only comfort for us is that we don't want or need to sell and can afford to sit and wait until the market rebounds a bit.
so. i've been busy this summer helping with the grandkids. . .watched gavin for 2 separate weeks this summer to give the kids a break on their childcare costs. i've taken victoria when she had the pox, chris when he was bored. wished we could have the 3 from grand junction. love them all to death!
we're up in prescott for the next month. spent part of the first week with a riding friend. we did some wonderful roads and found a great dirt road that i'm looking forward to taking ye on. that will have to wait until the kids go back down to casa grande. that's likely another week and a half away.
the kids are loving it here. every time we get the van to go somewhere, victoria asks if we are going home. she doesn't want to go there yet. they've made friends with some of the kids in the campground and have been gone from the rv quite a bit.
today is christopher's birthday. we're going to peter piper pizza. i must confess, once my kids got passed that age i thought i was done with that place for good. that was just fine with me. now, a whole new round of p3. sigh.
i've been doing lots of research for how to do the renos on the house. i'm very excited about the project and am quite looking forward to actually being able to get in the house and measure, etc. right now, it's so darned hot that without the a/c working, i don't want to even be in it.
this is enough for now, will write more later.
