Goosenecks State Park

Soon after the microwave drama, we arrived at Goosenecks State Park outside of Mexican Hat, UT. I noticed a motorcyclist camped near the entrance. Ye, OTOH, was a bit occupied with finding a camping spot. We temporarily parked the RV and he unloaded my dirtbike in order to locate an acceptable campsite. He returned and ambled the beastly RV to a remote campsite as I rode my dirtbike to it. At my prompting, he returned to the biker who was camping near the entrance and invited him back to our place for stew. The outside temperature was rapidly descending and the guy was in a tent. I thought he could use some warm stew.

As we settled into our camp and ate our stew, we were just saying to each other that he probably decided to stay put when we heard the rumble of a 9-fiddy Katoom Adventurer. We invited Dan Post into our humble abode and shared both stew, plus many good biker stories with him. It was a good day to be alive.
